Urban logistics & the mobility transition: a field of tension or potential for synergies?
In this #ScandriaAllianceTalk, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities that arise for urban logistics as a result of the current mobility transition efforts.
Why you should attend this meeting
While the mobility transition for passenger mobility is in full swing, there is still a lack of practicable, comprehensive solutions for the challenges that urban freight transport is facing. Many cities and regions are currently working hard to foster the transition towards the use of fossil-free clean fuels in vehicles. However, these efforts do not solve the problem of congested roads and city centres as parcel and commercial transport volumes keep on growing.
In this talk, you will learn about some promising projects in which cities and regions along the Scandria Corridor are piloting solutions that can actually help to reduce or replace road-based transport in urban logistics. These solutions include open system multi-use locker systems, micro hubs, light electric vehicles and urban inland shipping.
